John Peter Smith Hospital is a 459 bed county hospital that sponsors 170 training positions in eleven programs. All residency programs are accredited, and several are dually accredited. JPS provides clinical medical education to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Baylor Medical Center and the University of North Texas Health Science Center. JPS also enjoys academic affiliations with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and Texas A&M Health Science Center.
