Our Trauma Registrar is responsible for maintenance, security, and integrity of the Trauma Registry database and ensures consistent data collection and data extraction from the Trauma Registry for quality improvement and injury prevention purposes.

Description of Measurement: Ambulance diversions are monitored to ensure compliance with the American College of Surgeon's (ACS) guidelines for trauma verification and to ensure support for the community's need for emergency treatment. There are times, because of resources and patient load, when emergency departments divert ambulances so that the patient can get the timeliest emergent care. JPS's goal is to divert as little as possible overall and to exceed the American College of Surgeon's guideline of being closed less than 5% for trauma.
