Physicians must have completed an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. In addition, applicants must already be Board-certified or actively pursuing Board Certification in their primary specialty. Four positions are offered each year. All applications should be submitted electronically through the ERAS Website. Applications must include a current CV, a one page personal statement, and three recommendation letters. One recommendation letter must be from the residency program director. Only J1 visas are accepted, and they must be sponsored by the ECFMG.
The fellowship is fully accredited by the American Council of Graduate Medical Education. Fellows who successfully finish the fellowship are eligible to sit for the Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatric Medicine.
