Medical Director of Trauma Services
Raj Gandhi, MD, PhD
Raj Gandhi, MD, is committed to providing quality patient care. Prior to joining JPS, he was the medical director of trauma and surgical critical care at Hillcrest Baptist in Waco. Gandhi also served as the director of pediatric trauma at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey.
Gandhi has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, he earned a Master of Science, a Doctorate of Philosophy in Physiology and a Doctorate of Medicine from Albany Medical College.
His dedication to quality patient care was recognized by the American College of Surgeons in 2002 when he was voted one of the Top Surgeons in America.
Carrie Hecht, RN, NP
Carrie Hecht, RN, has more than 30 years experience in health care. She began her career as an emergency medical technician and through the years has been responsible for leading multiple trauma and emergency department teams.
She extends her leadership role into the community. She is the Chair of the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council (NCTTRAC), and has served as a representative on the Governor’s Emergency Trauma Advisory Council, Chairs’ Committee, and is a voting member for NCTTRAC to the Texas Emergency Trauma Acute Care Foundation.
She is a certified advanced trauma course nurse instructor, advanced trauma life support coordinator, and a trauma center designation surveyor for the Department of State Health Services.
