JPS has a program to provide healthcare for women who plan to become pregnant someday, again or for the first time. We call it Before & Between.
Healthcare for women before they become pregnant is called preconception care, and includes anything that could affect the health of future children,
Healthcare between pregnancies is called interconception care, and includes family planning and birth control options. The next baby has a better chance at a healthy start if pregnancies are spaced.
In the program, teens, women, and men who may be at risk for unintended pregnancies work with social workers and community health workers to create an individual reproductive life plan to determine their plans for parenthood.
