Top 100 Places to Work
November 18th, 2016
JPS Health Network has been named among the region’s best employers, earning a spot among The Dallas Morning News’ Top 100 Places to Work 2016.
The annual selection of best places to work is based on the results of a survey administered to employees of companies nominated for the award. The anonymous survey, conducted for the Morning News by WorkplaceDynamics, covers areas such as work/life balance, workplace dynamics and training opportunities.
At least 35 percent of all employees must complete the survey. Participation at JPS far exceeded the required minimum, with 68 percent of all team members voluntarily sharing their opinions. The contest covers 10 North Texas counties.
Ten of this year’s top 100 are in healthcare, including JPS and four other healthcare employers in the large company category. JPS is among Tarrant County’s largest employers, with a workforce of more than 6,500. When the awards were announced on Thursday, JPS was the only public entity on the list.
For JPS team members, the results confirm what they already know.
In the most recent employee engagement survey conducted by Press Ganey, JPS landed in the 84th percentile nationally. More than 90 percent of the network’s employees participated in that survey, which Press Ganey administers for more than 2,200 healthcare organizations across the country.
