As President of the JPS Foundation, Cheryl Sutterfield-Jones oversees all fund development and fundraising activities of the Foundation to support JPS Health Network. She plays a key role in combining facility growth with program development through new sustainable funding sources.

Cheryl is a respected and established servant-leader, known for her strategic vision, integrity, and collaboration. She is a mission-driven leader with a passion for human services and is accomplished at raising funds for the community. She has designed structures to mobilize both fundraising and quick service delivery.

Before joining JPS, Cheryl served as CEO of Brighter Tomorrows Domestic Violence Shelter, CEO of the Frontiers of Flight Museum, CEO of the North Texas American Red Cross, and President and CEO of the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. Cheryl also served as the Executive Director of Denton County Friends of the Family.

Cheryl is a recognized leader in human services management, and often presents at national, state, and local venues on multidisciplinary team strategies, collaboration, and non-profit management and fundraising. She consults on non-profit and board development and strategic planning. She is active in the community and serves on many boards and commissions. Cheryl was named Agency Executive of the Year by the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and was honored by the Girl Scouts of Tejas Council with the Real Girls, Real Women Award. In 2019, she was awarded the Kenneth Cooper Lifetime Achievement Award.
