COVID-19 Response

As our community's publicly supported healthcare system, JPS Health Network is working tirelessly in response to the extraordinary public health crisis. Members of our care team are doing their part to help Tarrant County residents weather this viral storm, while also caring for the hundreds of people coming to the hospital for other illnesses and injuries.

The JPS Foundation has responded to COVID-19 in the following ways, plus many more, to support our team members during this unprecedented pandemic by feeding the mind, body and spirit of our caregivers.

  • Secured a grant from Lockheed Martin to provide continuity of care to our patients through telehealth services
  • Secured community funding for two additional master's level chaplains in Spiritual Care
  • Secured community funding to provide medical care for the Tarrant County Convention Center homeless overflow shelter
  • Provided meals for frontline staff treating our patients experiencing homelessness at the Tarrant County Convention Center
  • Provided daily snacks for our screeners at six locations through June
  • Purchased iPads and stands to help with patient/family communication
  • Provided picnic tables for team members to social distance during breaks
