Laura Thomas, Senior Vice President, Finance

Laura Thomas brings 15 years of healthcare experience to JPS. She has an extensive background in healthcare finance including accounting, capital asset management, reimbursement, cost accounting, systems integration and financial analytics. This includes strong expertise in budget and capital management, labor management and utilization of metrics to drive financial sustainability.

Laura obtained her Masters in Healthcare Administration from Ohio University and has a BBA in Accountancy and Information Systems Management from UT Permian Basin.

On September 19, 2023, Tarrant County Commissioners Court will adopt the Tarrant County Hospital District’s FY 24 proposed budget and tax rate. The Commissioners Court has proposed a tax rate of $0.1945 which is below the no-new-revenue rate and will collect less taxes than the previous tax year.
