Nadia Alawi-Kakomanolis, MD, Vice President Clinical Operations, Acclaim
Nadia Alawi-Kakomanolis, MD is an Internal Medicine physician working in Primary Care who has been with JPS/Acclaim for almost 5 years. She is originally from Brooklyn, NY and has been in Fort Worth since 2013. She has worked as a hospitalist, in private practice, in a stand-alone urgent care, and now in the JPS primary care department. She was trained at Stony Brook Medical Center in Stony Brook, NY. Caring for the underserved was always part of her passion and has been part of her career since the beginning.
Since coming to JPS, she has had multiple roles as a physician in the Diamond Hill Health Center, seeing her primary care panel of patients, Executive Director of Population Health, Vice Chief of Primary Care Operations, and now Vice President of Clinical Operations for Acclaim. She has served on multiple committees and has been a physician champion for many projects, including but not limited to DSRIP measures, Health Outcomes Core Team, JPS Telehealth program launch, Clinical Steering Committee, Outpatient Case Management Program for COVID-19 home monitoring, the development of the network’s COVID-19 treatment protocol, and the establishment of a COVID-19 recovery clinic that takes a multidisciplinary approach to healing previously hospitalized COVID-19 patients helping them return to normal. She has worked to further the outreach and mission of our community health team, and worked with operational partners to improve access and quality of care.
Dr. Alawi-Kakomanolis loves to travel and read. When she is not caring for patients, she is caring for her three beautiful children who keep her busy with jujitsu, dance, and football.
