EpicCare Link

What is EpicCare link?

EpicCare Link is Epic's web-based application that provides referring practitioners and staff real-time web access to patient information so they can communicate and collaborate with JPS Health Network team members to provide quality patient care.

How does this improve patient care?

  • Provides comprehensive access to patient information: EpicCare Link gives healthcare providers secure access to patients' electronic health records, including lab results, diagnostic tests, hospitalization records, medications, allergies, and medical history. This comprehensive view allows for more informed decision-making and continuity of care.
  • Enhances communication between providers: It enables secure messaging and information sharing between hospital care teams and external providers like primary care physicians, specialists, and community care facilities. This improved communication leads to better coordination of care.
  • Supports continuity of care: Providers can maintain continuity of care by accessing up-to-date patient information even after the patient has left the hospital. This is especially helpful for follow-up care and ongoing treatment.
  • Improves efficiency: By consolidating patient information in one accessible system, EpicCare Link reduces time spent searching for information, allowing providers to spend more time on direct patient care.
  • Facilitates referrals and care coordination: JPS providers can easily make referrals, place orders, and coordinate care with other healthcare organizations using EpicCare Link.

EpicCare Link access can be provided to a wide range of affiliated users that assist in providing care and other support functions to JPS patients.
