JPS Health Network offers residency programs that help doctors improve their skills and knowledge when providing high-quality patient care. With ten academic residency programs, JPS is the biggest training institution in Fort Worth.

Emergency Medicine
The JPS Emergency Medicine Residency program equips its residents with the necessary skills to deliver exceptional care to their community. With over 130,000 patients served annually, students gain valuable hands-on experience that prepares them for a successful career in medicine.
Family Medicine
Many believe a Family Physician only handles minor illnesses like colds and back pain, but this is a common misconception. The JPS Family Medicine Residency program provides comprehensive training for family doctors in full-spectrum family medicine. This includes teaching doctors how to perform procedures and effectively manage the various medical cases that they may encounter.
Orthopaedic
The JPS Orthopaedic Residency program allows residents to gain valuable experience early in their training, seeing over 12,000 patients annually. Orthopaedic residents encounter a variety of cases, with most being in advanced stages.
Psychiatry
The JPS Psychiatry Residency Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The program focuses on handling complex cases that will provide residents with the necessary skills for any psychiatry job they may pursue.
Podiatry
The JPS Podiatry Residency program provides the fundamental skills to serve their patients after residency.
Transitional
The JPS Transitional Residency program offers a comprehensive internship experience for residents before they specialize in fields such as Radiology, Anesthesia, Dermatology, Physical Medicine/Rehabilitation, and Radiation/Oncology.
Obstetrics and Gynecology
The JPS Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program offers comprehensive education in women's health, providing residents with experience in managing both low-risk and complex cases.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
The JPS Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program offers comprehensive training in a wide range of areas, including orthognathic surgery, TMJ, facial pain, oral and facial lesions, IV sedation, cleft lip/cleft palate repair, dental implants, and facial trauma.
