Two JPS Health Network team members have been named Specialty Practitioners of the Year by the Texas Society for Respiratory Care.
Each year, the Texas Society for Respiratory Care awards practitioners from different specialties for their commitment to patients and healthcare. Receiving this award is an honorable celebration and a testament to the dedication of our Respiratory Therapists at JPS.
Respiratory Therapists Chelly Rosser and Phyllis Hamilton were recognized for their meticulous work in their specialties. Rosser was awarded for her achievements in Adult Critical Care, and Hamilton was recognized for her achievements in Pediatric and Neonatal Care.
"Receiving this award makes me feel proud. Knowing that my peers see how hard I work is honorable. I love being able to see the impact that I make in these patients' lives, so I've come back every day for 32 years to do just that," Rosser said.
"Working in the NICU, my job is to help babies grow up and go home. It's been an honor to be recognized and appreciated by the people around me for that. It reaffirms that people can rely on me," said Hamilton.
JPS is a place where team members come to grow and acquiring achievements like this is a testament to that development. Congratulations to Rosser and Hamilton for their accomplishments.
