On April 16, 2026, a crowd of over 1,000 gathered at the future site of the new JPS Health Network hospital building for a much-anticipated groundbreaking ceremony. The new hospital, coming in 2030, will serve as the centerpiece of the network's transformed campus. Public figures, elected officials, and hundreds of JPS team members gathered to celebrate the milestone, a defining moment for JPS Health Network, the City of Fort Worth, and all of Tarrant County.
“We are here not just to break ground on a new hospital,” said JPS President and CEO Dr. Karen Duncan, “but to fulfill a promise. A promise that everyone in this county—no matter their circumstances, their ZIP code, or their story—deserves access to exceptional and compassionate care.”
