Nurses are essential in the healthcare journey of patients. They often see a patient before and after their diagnosis and know how a few words could change a patient's life. They are responsible for administering medication, assessing a patient's needs, collaborating with physicians, and implementing the physician's orders. Along with their daily duties, they advocate and provide emotional support to patients and their families. Nurses ensure that the patients receive the best care physically and emotionally, but sometimes they are dealing with issues themselves.
Volunteering at JPS Health Network allows individuals to positively impact the lives of each person they come in contact with. Volunteers provide exceptional service and are committed to providing much-needed support to our patients and team members. They do not ask for anything in return but the satisfaction that they've come in and changed a person's life.
JPS Health Network hosted a LifeGift Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday, April 10, to celebrate National Donate Life Month and honor donors and their families who have given and received life through organ donations. More than 100,000 people are waiting for a transplant, so celebrating this moment is special.
A total of 52 JPS Health Network physicians have been named to Fort Worth Magazine’s 2023 Top Docs list. Each year, the magazine asks area physicians to nominate some of their peers that demonstrate excellence in their field. Once the online ballot process concludes, a panel of physicians reviews the submissions to determine a final list of honorees.
