That’s why, in 2019, JPS opened the Specialty Pharmacy to support patients and employees with these challenges. What started as a new way to improve access has grown, in just six years, into a trusted resource that serves thousands across Tarrant County.
Now, the JPS Specialty Pharmacy has reached a new milestone. They have earned URAC accreditation in Specialty Pharmacy, Version 5.0.
This achievement is a reflection of the pharmacy team’s commitment to ensuring every patient receives high-quality, compassionate care. URAC is a nationally recognized accrediting organization that sets rigorous standards for safety, quality, and patient-centered service. Accreditation means patients can trust that the pharmacy they rely on is meeting the highest standards in the country.

The pharmacy has already earned Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) recognition, and now, with URAC accreditation, it’s been validated on a national level as a leader in specialty pharmacy care.
