Partners in Community and Leaders in Care
The JPS Citizens Healthcare Academy is an interactive six-week educational experience designed to provide faith leaders with a behind-the-scenes look at JPS Health Network. The Academy reflects JPS’ commitment to building the future of healthcare with our community, not just for our community. By equipping local leaders with knowledge and insight, the program strengthens the connection between JPS and the communities we serve and supports better health outcomes for generations to come.
Participants will gain firsthand insight into how JPS delivers care, hear directly from physicians and leaders, and learn how to stay engaged as informed advocates for community health.

Designed for Community Leaders
The JPS Citizens Healthcare Academy is designed for community members who hold leadership roles across Tarrant County and want a deeper understanding of JPS Health Network and its impact. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in healthcare and community well-being, a willingness to engage in learning and discussion, and the ability to commit to full participation in all six sessions. Participation is intentionally limited to ensure meaningful engagement and is coordinated through the Commissioners Court.
Participation is by invitation through a member of the Commissioners Court. Each office may have up to four participants representing their office.
Beyond the Academy
Graduates are encouraged to continue their involvement with JPS through volunteer opportunities, patient and family advisory councils, philanthropic support, and community advocacy. By building informed partnerships today, the Academy helps ensure a stronger, healthier community now and for generations to come.
