Healthcare Administrative Internship
JPS is committed to focusing on the community and excellence. The Healthcare Administrative Internship program is a 10-week summer immersive experience dedicated to addressing the health needs of our community while exceeding the expectations of all we care for by consistently providing the best care when and where it is needed.
The Healthcare Administrative Internship program is searching for high-performing graduate students interested in gaining direct healthcare administrative experience and are dedicated to continuous learning. We value diverse skill sets, backgrounds, work experiences, and interests.

My time at JPS gave me the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone and experience healthcare in a new market and community than where I am originally from in Pennsylvania. What made the experience especially meaningful was how intentional the organization was about my professional growth; leaders and mentors encouraged me to explore my interests, take on projects that challenged me, and think more broadly about where I could take my career. 2026 Healthcare Administrative Intern
My internship at JPS gave me the opportunity to apply what I learned in the classroom to real healthcare challenges. It strengthened my interest in healthcare operations and process improvement. Interning was important to me because it allowed me to see how healthcare administration works in a real-world setting. It also helped me discover my interests, build confidence, and grow professionally. JPS offers meaningful, hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn from leaders throughout the organization.

2026 Healthcare Administrative Intern
Applications will open on December 1, 2026 and close on December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Candidates who are currently enrolled in an MHA, MBA (with an emphasis on healthcare management), or MPH from a CAHME, AACSB, or CEPH accredited program by the start of the fellowship.

Please note: Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered, and applicants from unaccredited programs are automatically disqualified. A completed application and resume are required to apply.
- Candidates selected will undergo two rounds of virtual interviews
- Interviews will take place in January, with decisions announced in early February
Internship Experience
- Interns are assigned to a specific area for the duration of the internship program. Assignments are individualized based on organizational needs, available learning opportunities, and the intern's professional interests and development goals.
Capstone Project
- Interns complete a longitudinal capstone project that addresses a strategic organizational priority. Working closely with leaders and subject matter experts, interns apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program to develop, implement, and present a meaningful project that contributes to the mission and goals of JPS Health Network.
When does the internship begin?
- The internship runs from the beginning of June through the beginning of August. Additional onboarding information will be provided to selected candidates following acceptance.
Can I receive academic credit for the internship?
- Many students can receive academic credit through their graduate program. Because requirements vary by institution, interns are responsible for coordinating with their academic program to determine eligibility.
What professional development opportunities are included?
- Interns participate in networking events, leadership development activities, mentorship opportunities, organizational meetings, and a longitudinal capstone project designed to strengthen their leadership and healthcare administration skills.
