On Wednesday, May 6, JPS Health Network hosted its annual Nurse Award Celebration to honor our nurses and their commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality care to our patients. Across the network, JPS’ nursing teams make a positive impact on our patients’ lives, and this celebration highlights those who go above and beyond, lead initiatives, provide a steadying bedside presence, and pursue ongoing education. 

Some of the most important moments in healthcare happen before a patient ever reaches the hospital. For newborns delivered unexpectedly at home, in a vehicle, or other out-of-hospital settings, those first minutes can be especially critical.

At JPS Health Network, caring for our community means removing barriers to care and meeting patients where they are.

For many older adults and medically vulnerable patients, getting to an appointment can be difficult or impossible. The JPS Provider Home Visits program brings care directly to patients’ homes, helping them stay safe and connected to the care they need.

At JPS Health Network, our mission is to transform healthcare delivery for the communities we serve, and our volunteers play a vital role in bringing that mission to life. Alongside our clinicians and team members, volunteers at JPS generously give their time and talents to serve our patients and families with compassion.

On April 16, 2026, a crowd of over 1,000 gathered at the future site of the new JPS Health Network hospital building for a much-anticipated groundbreaking ceremony. The new hospital, coming in 2030, will serve as the centerpiece of the network's transformed campus. Public figures, elected officials, and hundreds of JPS team members gathered to celebrate the milestone, a defining moment for JPS Health Network, the City of Fort Worth, and all of Tarrant County.

April 16, 2026 | Fort Worth, Texas — In a moment that will shape the future of healthcare in Tarrant County for generations, JPS Health Network today broke ground on its new hospital, a transformative investment that expands access, strengthens care delivery, and responds to the rapid growth of the community it serves.

We’re proud to recognize the 137 JPS physicians selected to the 2026 Fort Worth Magazine Top Doctors list. This annual honor highlights physicians who exemplify excellence in patient care, as nominated by their peers and reviewed by a panel of fellow physicians across a wide range of specialties.

At JPS, our physicians are dedicated to caring for the whole patient, combining clinical expertise with compassion in every interaction. From advancing care through innovation to building trust with every conversation, their impact extends far beyond the exam room.

At JPS Health Network, care is defined by the relationships between patients and their clinicians. It is trust built over time, through critical moments and everyday care. During Doctors’ Week, JPS is recognizing the impact these relationships have on the lives of the people we serve.

Known for delivering advanced care as a Level I Trauma Center, Level I Stroke Center, Level IV Maternal Center, and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, JPS pairs clinical excellence with something just as important - doctors who show up for patients, year after year.

When we first met Kendall and Kyle Lewis, MD, in 2023, they had just matched into the Family Medicine Residency program at JPS Health Network, excited to begin training as physicians and to embed themselves in the community so they could be role models for young people who might not see themselves in medicine.

A life-saving heart procedure once out of reach for many in Tarrant County is now available at JPS Health Network, bringing advanced cardiac care closer to home. Thanks to the newly established Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program, individuals facing the life-limiting effects of severe aortic stenosis now have access to a minimally invasive, high-impact treatment that restores vitality and extends independence–dramatically improving both survival and quality of life.
