On April 16, 2026, a crowd of over 1,000 gathered at the future site of the new JPS Health Network hospital building for a much-anticipated groundbreaking ceremony. The new hospital, coming in 2030, will serve as the centerpiece of the network's transformed campus. Public figures, elected officials, and hundreds of JPS team members gathered to celebrate the milestone, a defining moment for JPS Health Network, the City of Fort Worth, and all of Tarrant County.

When we first met Kendall and Kyle Lewis, MD, in 2023, they had just matched into the Family Medicine Residency program at JPS Health Network, excited to begin training as physicians and to embed themselves in the community so they could be role models for young people who might not see themselves in medicine.
A life-saving heart procedure once out of reach for many in Tarrant County is now available at JPS Health Network, bringing advanced cardiac care closer to home. Thanks to the newly established Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program, individuals facing the life-limiting effects of severe aortic stenosis now have access to a minimally invasive, high-impact treatment that restores vitality and extends independence–dramatically improving both survival and quality of life.
