Dr. Zee currently works as a critical care physician and has been with JPS Health Network since 2008 and completing her family medicine residency here as well. She first set foot into JPS Health Network when she started her clinical rotations as a third year medical student in 2006 and fell in love with the people, patients, and mission of the JPS Health Network. Her primary board certification is in family medicine, but she holds many other certifications including a designation in focused practice in hospital medicine, certification in critical care echocardiography and ultrasonography, and is also a graduate of the TCU-JPS Health Network Physician Leadership Program. Dr. Zee is a recognized Fellow in the American College of CHEST Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians, as well as holds a Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine recognition with the Society of Hospital Medicine. She has been honored as a Top Doctor in Fort Worth Magazine and 360 West Magazine Top Doc in Family Medicine/Hospital Medicine for consecutive years. She has a passion for patient care quality, patient/family focused care, as well as for teaching, especially of procedures and critical care ultrasound. When not at work, she enjoys performing with the Ft. Worth Medical Orchestra and Flute Choir, serving on short term medical missions, playing ice hockey recreationally, and is also a USA Hockey Official, refereeing ice hockey games in the Metroplex.

Dr. Mischel currently serves as Associate Program Director of JPS Health Network Transitional Residency Program, Core Family Medicine Faculty of JPS Health Network Family Medicine Residency Program, and as an Assistant Professor at Texas Christian University Burnett School of Medicine, where he is the Director of the Family Medicine Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship. He also serves as a Contributing Editor for New England Journal – Journal Watch. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. His professional experience spans across various roles including outpatient practice, inpatient adult and newborn care, and urgent care.
